This is the first song Roxxy Vibe has made. It was an “immediate” creation, because it was born in just two hours during an afternoon in the first lockdown of 2020. It describes the loneliness that Roxxy Vibe felt locked up at home, as opposed to the desire to go out and hear the sounds of the nature: in fact, the song opens with the sound of seagulls which was one of the main sounds of his childhood, when he lived in his parents’ house near the sea. It’s a melancholy and reflective song, both because the refrain, the only sung part of the song, is a very simple question that can’t find a single answer – “How do you see the world?” – and because the whole song is dominated by the cold and glacial sound of the Synthetizer, which wants to represent all the things that surround us as if they were trapped in a very fragile crystal box, ready to suddenly crumble. The heavy breathing of the final part of the song is a clear reference to the pandemic, when we were all struggling to breathe, in a world that had made us prisoners of ourselves and deprived of our freedom.

It’s a song that Roxxy Vibe wanted to release to remember the covid-19 and the indelible feelings it left in each of us, to never forget what we’ve been through. It’s also a song that allows you to reflect on the “why” of life and on what the future of the world we live in will be like, answers that no one has found yet today and that perhaps we will never find. But we must never stop hoping.
